Compare

I am different now then my character in the story by my family and culture, government, and event. My family is different because my family has different members in it and they act different. My culture is different because back then they did lots of chores and had jobs but now I don't really do chores or have a job because I have a lot more schooling then they did. My government is different because we now have different technology and different laws and a president. Our events are different because they had festivals and things ware everyone would celebrate the months and seasons but now we only have parties for things like holidays or birthdays.

Medieval Event

My family and my friends and people from my town were there. The medieval event happened in the middle of my town. It happened May, 1st 1432. It was the celebration of the month because we celebrate every month and season with a medieval event. During this event we all danced, ate, listened to the music being played and had fun celebrating the month. I was able to witness this event because I was there. I reacted to this event by dancing and talking to all my friends and eating some of the deliciouses foods there were. Others reacted to this event by dancing eating, and associating with each other while drinking rum. As a result of this event we all had fun celebrating the month and having a great time.

Government

The government is very different here. At the head of English government stood the king. The machinery of government existed in order to put his decisions and policies into practice. One of the laws that I didn't like was that a landed proprietor could always put an end to feuds and personal quarrels. One of the laws that i did like is the right to jurisdiction gave judicial power to the nobles and lords in cases arising in their domains and had no appeal but to the King himself. My religion is Catholic. Conflict between the town and county of Bristol and the liberty of St Augustine's Abbey was largely the consequence of the failure of the county's founding charter of 1373 to recognize the separate existence of the liberty. In 1496 a confrontation between the abbey and the town resulted in an appeal to Council, and the production of The Great White Book, to record the evidence collected for the hearing.
